PRIVACY & SUPPORT
Delete your game data.
Anyone, wherever they live, can ask us to delete the personal data we collect through Curiosity Kills, at any time and free of charge. You don’t have to give a reason. Parents or guardians can ask the same way for a child’s data. Here is how.
- Find your PLAYER ID. In the game, go to the room computer and press UP or DN until you reach the PLAYER ID page (from the first page, press UP three times). Press OK, then OK again, to show the full ID: 32 letters and numbers in groups of four. Copy all of it. If the page says NOT SIGNED IN YET, play online once and go back to it.
- Email jaidyn@superstudiogames.com with the subject Curiosity Kills data deletion request.
- Include your full PLAYER ID and your Meta username (the name on your name tag). If you have emailed us before or reported a player, tell us roughly when, so we can find those emails too. We use these details only to find your records. Never send a password, sign-in code, payment details or ID documents. If you can’t get your PLAYER ID, email us anyway with your Meta username. Epic’s tools can find a player record only by its player ID or by your Meta user ID (the number Meta gives your account for this game, which the game never shows), not by a username, so without your PLAYER ID we may not be able to find your player record or the online copy of your save. We will delete everything we can find and tell you what we couldn’t find. If you can still use a Meta Quest headset with your Meta account, you can install the free game again, play online once and open the PLAYER ID page.
- We delete your data within 30 days: your player record at Epic Online Services (your player ID, its link to your Meta user ID, and the name and sign-in information stored with it), the online copy of your save, your emails to us, player reports you made or that are about you, and any logs from our own testing that include your username or player ID. Epic finishes deleting your player record after a waiting period of up to 10 days, during which online play won’t work for your account; this is included in the 30 days.
- We email you to confirm what we deleted, and anything we had to keep and why.
- Delete the save on your headset yourself, at any time: uninstall the game or clear its storage in your headset’s settings. We can’t reach your headset, and uninstalling alone doesn’t delete your records at Epic.
What we can’t delete
- Meta’s records: your Meta account, username, purchase history and Meta’s copy of reports are controlled by Meta. This request doesn’t close your Meta account or affect other games.
- Other players’ photos and recordings: photos and recordings other players made are on their devices, and only they can delete them.
- Epic’s technical service data: technical data Epic’s services collect to run, such as random session IDs, request counts, response times and error codes. Epic keeps it under its terms with us, and we can’t delete it.
- Website records: Cloudflare, which hosts the site for us, keeps website request records under its terms with us and its privacy policy, and we can’t delete them ourselves.
- Information we must keep: if a law requires us to keep something, or we still need a report to finish dealing with a safety or security problem, we will tell you what we are keeping and why, and delete it when that reason ends. We keep a short note that your request was completed, only as long as we may need to show that we handled your request.
Deletion can’t be undone. Your progress and credits, including credits you bought, belong to your player ID. If you play online again after we delete your data, Epic gives you a new player ID and the game starts your progress again from the beginning and saves a new online copy of it; we can’t bring back what was deleted.
Read what we collect and how we delete it in our Privacy Policy. Your other privacy rights, such as seeing, correcting or moving your data, or objecting to how we use it, are in Your privacy rights.
